Our Current Needs
Financial gifts of any amount are always greatly appreciated and the most useful - this allows us to put the funds received directly to the bigget need we are facing at the time.
We do know not everyone can give from their finances, so there are other areas where you can help as well.
Together, we can make a difference in our community.
Monetary Gifts
We accept cash, check and online financial donations. As a 501(c)3 organization, your gift to Fresh Start can be tax deductible. You will receive a year-end donation statement for tax purposes. Please contact your tax advisor to see if you qualify.
Volunteer Opportunities
We have many ways for you or your group to volunteer. Please contact our Director for more information and opportunities.

Toiletries, Cleaning Supplies & Laundry Detergent
As a shelter that remains open all year long, we serve many people throughout the year. The need for bedding, towels and toiletries are important. As our clients move out to places of their own, this also allows us to gift them with gently used items for their own house or apartment. Providing toiletries and detergent are also necessities that sometimes get overlooked, even for those stopping by for one-time assistance. New socks and underwear for men, women, and children are always accepted.
Food
We provide meals to our residents and day-use clients 365 days a year. Keeping our pantry and kitchen stocked with fresh produce and meat can be very costly. Donations of those items are greatly appreciated. You can call ahead to confirm we are able to accept what you would like to offer. Here is a list of items we can use:
